Privacy by design
Your life stays yours.
Huomen is designed as a personal journal, not a platform for collecting or monetizing your private life. Here is the plain-language overview.
Last updated August 10, 2026
Your journal
Entries, reflections, photos, voice notes, tags, saved places, quick options, and recorded routes are stored on your device. When iCloud Sync is available, Huomen synchronizes them through your private iCloud database so they can appear on your other Apple devices.
Optional context
Huomen only requests location, Calendar, Reminders, Health, Weather, Motion, microphone, speech recognition, camera, and Photos access when a feature needs it. You can decline or disable these permissions in system settings. Calendar, Reminders, and Health context is read directly from Apple frameworks and is not copied into your journal.
If you check off a reminder in Huomen, its completion status is updated in Apple Reminders.
Photos and audio
Photos and voice notes you add are part of your private journal. Photos captured in Huomen can also be saved to your Photos library when you grant permission. Optional voice transcription uses Apple speech-recognition services in the language you select.
No advertising profile
Huomen does not sell your journal, build an advertising profile, or include third-party advertising trackers. The app has no public social feed and does not require a Huomen account.
Your control
You can edit and delete entries, turn integrations off, export selected days as Markdown, and remove local app data by deleting the app. Data already synchronized to iCloud remains governed by your Apple account and iCloud settings.
